Meet Gertrude

Gertrude Amoakohene is my name. I come from Wiamoase in the Ashanti region of Ghana and I’m currently in level 300 at KNUST pursuing a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication engineering.I am a tech enthusiast as technology is almost at its peak in advancing our world and I believe that being able to communicate effectively is perhaps one of the most important life skills, hence my choice of career path.I am decisive, hardworking, self-motivated and I aspire to be a Telecommunications System Manager, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist.I love to see women pursuing a career in STEM related fields and I am really grateful to Empowering Africa Incorporation for granting me this scholarship which I believe will play a vital role in making me realize my dreams by sailing through the university; to be empowered and empower others too.
