What is Empowering Africa?

Empowering Africa Inc. is a nonprofit started with hopes of providing financial aid for university students pursuing science-related majors in African nations.

The primary nation targeted for financial aid efforts is the Western African nation of Ghana. Ghana is one of the most stable and peaceful countries in Africa. Ghana also is home to some of the best universities in Africa such as the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. The price of attending College at these quality universities is also relatively low when compared with universities in countries like the United States. It can cost as little as around $300 USD for an entire year of tuition at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Even with this low cost there are many qualified students in Ghana who cannot afford the cost of attending college. At Empowering Africa Inc. we target those students who are admitted and qualified for a college degree but lack the means to act on their qualifications.
